our core philosophies

Learning through play

Educating the "whole" child

Educating the "whole" child

We believe that age appropriate play is essential to the development of children. Play based learning activities keep students better engaged while also fostering growth through problem solving,, following directions, cooperation with peers, and fine/gross motor control.

Qualified and passionate staff

We use The Creative Curriculum as our guide for all educational activities. We celebrate the process of learning and problem solving, which encourages students to be curious and independent thinkers.

Qualified and passionate staff

Qualified and passionate staff

Qualified and passionate staff

Our school director and many of our lead teachers have backgrounds in early childhood education, as well as experience teaching multiple elementary grade levels. Our staff end up staying at PVCS year after year because they are passionate about our philosophy and values.

Low student-to-teacher ratios

Qualified and passionate staff

Teacher ↔ parent communication

We intentionally keep all class sizes below the ratios allowed per state licensing rules. This promotes greater interaction between teachers & students as well as students & their peers.

Teacher ↔ parent communication

Timely communication between our teachers and parents is essential to maximize the value you get from our programs. We leverage technology via a smart phone app that allows instant two way communication between parents, teachers, and staff.

What makes our school special

Large classrooms

All of our classrooms are large with lots of natural light, and each room features purposeful learning areas as well as plenty of stimulating and age appropriate toys/games. We have a dedicated toddler room, 2x "twos" classes, 2x "threes" classes, and our Pre-K program enjoys use of two classrooms for its activities. We also have a large multi-purpose room that we use for music, dance, sports, yoga, or enjoying a movie.

Generous outdoor playgrounds

There's much to explore on our two large playgrounds. Kids enjoy time on the swings, riding trikes around the track, climbing & swinging, digging/building, or anywhere else their imaginations take them. We find that active play in the morning is a great way to stimulate young brains, and get the wiggles out before class time.

Family Events

Parents and kids love our events throughout the year such as:

Holiday Performances, Snow Day, Pancake Breakfast, themed Movie Night on the playground, the Pumpkin Patch meet up, Pre-K graduation ceremony, and more!
