The 3-4 age range is an important transition period between the little toddlers and the older pre-kindergarteners. While their physical growth may slow, it's still a tremendous year of intellectual and social emotional development. Their increased maturity allows them to sit longer with increased engagement, and you may also notice that what was once individual play now morphs into more cooperative play with their peers. Through all interactions, our teachers help build important concepts such as communicating appropriately, emotional regulation, conflict resolution, and body spatial awareness. Precision fine motor skills are encouraged through writing and art activities along with daily manipulative stations. Academic concepts introduced include theme learning, process art (vs "free art"), multi-step projects, letter recognition, number recognition/sequencing, 10 frame counting, name writing, and days of the week.

Miss Angelica is originally from NJ but is almost an AZ native at this point. She attended ASU and has both a bachelor's and master's degree in elementary education. She has been teaching for 18 years, with the past 5 years as a lead teacher of our Three's class. Both of her young daughters are also graduates of PVCS.
Miss Ariana was born in Mesa and raised nearby in North Phoenix. She has always loved children and even aspired to be a teacher when she was younger. She's raised three wonderful children of her own and started subbing at PVCS four years ago when her youngest daughter was attending. We're thrilled to now have her full time as one of our lead Three's teachers.
Miss Veronica is an AZ native and in her 9th year teaching at PVCS. She has a Biology degree from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College in Indiana. After school she worked as a researcher in the Biology department at Loyola Marymount University. She has two nearly grown children and her daughter often works at PVCS during the summers.
Miss Abby grew up in the area and attended Scottsdale Christian Academy through high school. She then went to the University of Arizona and obtained a BA in psychology. She joined us with many years of experience nannying and working with children as young as three months old.
Miss Bree also grew up in the area and graduated from Horizon High School, where she was very active in the choir program. She currently attends PV Community College and wants to be a behavioral therapist for young children. She's been babysitting and working with children since she was 14 years old.
