The pinnacle of our school is our Pre K program, which continues to nurture each child's creativity and natural curiosity while also preparing them for kindergarten. We balance the morning schedule to allow time for kids to play and have fun, while still covering the academic concepts to ensure kindergarten readiness. Our teachers and students have the benefit of using two large classrooms. The first room is dedicated to learning where the kids spend the morning doing teacher-led circle time, group activities, and a daily table project that the students complete at their desks. We never use “one-size-fits-all” worksheets, but rather teachers modify open-ended projects to meet the individual needs and development level of each student. You'll get to take home all of their creative projects, along with a school provided journal showing their progress over entire year.
Our second classroom is dedicated to learning through play and enjoying meals together. Activities include building with blocks, dramatic dress up, pretend money/shopping, drawing stations, a sensory bin that is rotated weekly, light table, puzzles and games, a science station, quiet corner, and the always popular loft fort.
We cap our Pre-K program at 25 students per two teachers.
